OSTIn Witnessed the MOU Signing Between SpeQtral and SES Satellites

OSTIn’s Executive Director, Mr. Jonathan Hung, witnessed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing between SpeQtral and SES Satellites. The collaboration between both parties marks a significant milestone in Singapore's quantum technology landscape that will strengthen the security of global communications in the future. The MOU signed in March 2025 leverages SpeQtral’s strengths as one of the first quantum key distribution (QKD) companies, together with SES’s satellite QKD expertise and position as a global content and connectivity solutions provider - to make quantum communications more accessible worldwide and allow seamless services for end-users in Asia and Europe. 

The MOU signing was a significant highlight during the state visit by President Tharman which marks the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Luxembourg and Singapore since 17 March 1975.

ED OSTIn also had the opportunity to meet with the CEO of Luxembourg Space Agency, Mr. Marc Serres, Site Director of Bradford space Kateryna Aheieva, and the Managing Director of GomSpace Edgar Milic. This visit marks the warm relations and furthering of space collaboration between both countries building upon our MOU signed in 2023.
